Job description

Upside is a software development company that designs and develops products and services for companies around the world. For the last years we have been working alongside startups helping them to build reliable technology, as well as with giants helping them in bringing fresh ideas onto the stage. The majority of our Clients come from retail, e-commerce and fin-tech and we’re also very active in the Open Source community.

#TeamUpside is currently 16 people strong (Fullstack/Backend/Frontend Software Developers, QAs, UX/UI Designers) and we’re searching for new teammates to join us! Right now, we're looking for HR Generalist / People Partner to support the growth of the organization.


B2B: 8 000 - 15 000 net PLN + VAT

UoP: 6 700 - 12 400 gross PLN


In this role, office in Kraków will be your default location, however we are open to remote work when needed.

Our Team Mates are currently in Kraków, Warszawa, Gdańsk, Berlin or travelling the world.

Who is People Partner?

At Upside, we are looking for a person who is willing to take on a challenge of supporting multiple areas of company's development with a special attention on People - from Employer Branding and Hiring, up to supporting our current Team in their development. We are looking for a generalist - a person who is willing to experience it all in a modern, transparent and flat organization.

A few key requirements:

  • Experience in managing various HR/People processes, especially in organization of 20+ people.
  • Highly level of organization allowing you to response and adapt to the changing needs and priorities.
  • Outstanding communicating skills that are allowing you to run team and 1:1 meetings.
  • Experience in gaining and analysing relevant data (e.g. eNPS).
  • Fluent English (C1 and above) and Polish (C2 or native).

It would be nice if you also have:

  • Experience in working in IT/technology company or basic understanding of software development processes.
  • Advantage: degree or an additional education in Psychology and/or Human Resources.

What might fall into a set of your responsibilities:

  • Managing the communication and taking care of Candidate's recruitment and selection processes.
  • Building and improving Candidates Experience across multiple touchpoint.
  • Executing HR processes e.g. onboarding and offboarding, conducting feedback sessions & performance reviews
  • Taking part in internal decision regarding e.g. Compensation Model, Team/Individual growth paths, progressions, salary review.
  • Conducting regular meetings with teams and individuals to define and evaluate goals and development plans.
  • Encouraging knowledge sharing by running internal and external initiatives.
  • Boosting feedback culture and making sure that direct reports receive and provide regular feedback from their teammates,
  • Making sure that in Upside we create a vibrant and inclusive Team.

We do not expect you to be a one-wo/man-army and take care of it all. If you'd decide you'd need support in any of the areas, we will all discuss how to enable that. We are a growing company so we challenge our Status Quo very often - adapting, making changes and experimenting. You'd have the flexibility to do the same.

  • Remote work model: our main office is based in the city center of Kraków, however, the entire team operates in a hybrid model working from home or abroad.
  • Flexible working hours: the majority of our team starts work between 8.00/9.00 in the morning but we're open to early birds and night owls. The most important aspect is to overlap working hours with the teammates and clients you are currently working with.
