Technical Writer

    • Kraków, Poland
  • Mid, Senior

Job description

At Upside, we’re not just shipping features - we’re partnering with ambitious companies across the globe to solve complex, meaningful problems through Applied AI. We work in small, focused teams, combining engineering, product thinking, and design, to deliver outcomes, not just output.

Role overview:

We’re looking for a Technical Writer who thrives in a consulting environment and enjoys transforming complex technical projects into clear, engaging, and impactful content. This role is ideal for someone who combines a solid technical background with exceptional writing skills, communicates confidently with both engineers and business stakeholders, and brings clarity to fast-moving, cross-functional initiatives. If you’re passionate about making technology accessible, capturing and sharing project knowledge, and creating content that strengthens visibility and expertise - this role is for you.

This role is for you if:

  • You see technical writing as more than documentation - it’s about telling the story of technology in a way that engages and informs.

  • You’re comfortable diving into complex concepts, extracting insights, and translating them into clear, accessible language.

  • You enjoy collaborating with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to capture knowledge and create content that reflects real project work.

This role is not for you if:

  • You expect to only “clean up” or format what others write. We value proactive writers who can shape narratives, not just edit text.

  • You prefer routine, repetitive writing tasks over the challenge of working in dynamic, fast-changing project environments where curiosity and adaptability are key.

Location:

In this role, we are fully open to remote work.

Job requirements

  • Experience creating technical content in collaboration with software teams and domain experts.

  • Strong sense of ownership and curiosity, with the ability to dig into complex topics and explain them clearly.

  • Solid understanding of software development processes, modern technologies, and how to communicate them effectively.

  • Familiarity with formats such as documentation, case studies, whitepapers, ebooks, and technical blog posts.

  • Skilled at tailoring communication for different audiences—from engineers to business stakeholders to external readers.

  • Fluency in English (C1+)

Key responsibilities

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content that aligns with business and project goals.

  • Take ownership of content projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.

  • Support engineers and project teams in documenting knowledge, processes, and solutions.

  • Identify gaps in documentation, streamline content workflows, and improve knowledge-sharing practices.

  • Serve as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in documentation and knowledge management.

What we offer

  • High-impact role in an environment that values initiative.

  • Supportive leadership and space for your ideas.

  • Clear path for growth
